FEATURED CONSCIOUS BUSINESS:
Spiritual Revolution truly talks the talk and walks the walk of a conscious business with their fully eco-friendly and give-back to our Earth mindset.
When I first laid eyes on one of Spiritual Revolution’s yoga mats, my jaw dropped and my heart filled with glee. This incredible piece of art could also be a tool for our daily practice? In awe and filled with excitement, I inquired further into these masterpieces. I was absolutely sold when I found out these mats were 100% environmentally friendly, the company was philanthropic and as an added bonus, the mats are machine washable. I knew I needed one, and I knew I needed to connect with the person behind the magic.
Holly Rogers was a longtime law practicioner before a seed was planted in her brain to bring inspirational sayings to the yoga mats that she practiced yoga on. Upon research into the industry, she learned this was a relatively easy task – but she also learned something that didn’t sit well with her conscious mind. Most yoga mats are made of pvc, a toxic, non-biodegradable plastic that is polluting our environment heavily. As a yogi who takes her practice off the mat, she knew she needed do something to change this, and so Spiritual Revolution was born.
Many of us do realize that the plastic bottles and plastic bags we so often use are bad for the environment and make daily choices to reduce their use. However, many of us don’t realize (simply due to lack of education) that the tool we use to connect our body, mind and spirit is heavily polluting the world around us and hurting our fellow creatures. Holly took me through the dirty details of pvc usage and I was astounded and horrified. Most plastics that we use can at least be recylced, but our pvc mats cannot. They often end up in the ocean where they are broken into smaller particles and accidentally eaten by fish as well as albatross, who are killed by the heavy toxicity. The problem is so bad that organizations like the Oceanic Society, a non-profit partner of Spiritual Revolution, have created programs to save these animals.

Spiritual Revolution truly talks the talk and walks the walk of a conscious business with their fully eco-friendly and give-back to our Earth mindset. Holly doesn’t stop at just the mats – even the shipping material used to bring the mats into our hands is biodegradable. They partner with other non-profits as well, and have plans to make yoga mats for different causes to raise money and awareness and spread the beautiful vibrations as far as they can reach.
From sacred geometry to colorful patterns to beautiful depictions of gods and goddesses, Spiritual Revolution has a mat for different yogis everywhere, kids and adults alike. Drew Brophy, Joe Marro, Billy the Artist, John Fitzpatrick, Dore Vorum and Nancy Marcus Newman are some of the artists whose work can be found on a Spiritual Revolution piece.
